Irene Chang is a member of the Honourable Society of the Lincoln’s Inn, UK and has been practicing law in Sarawak since 1989. For the first few years of her practice, Irene Chang had specialized in criminal law until she joined Messrs Wong Ho Leng & Co Advocates in 1993, where she gained vast experience in conveyancing and litigation matters including debt recoveries, personal injury law, construction and property development disputes, medical negligence, family law, and estate law. Irene Chang heads our civil litigation department and believes that at times, mediation and early settlement options are prospectively better means of serving our clients’ larger goals and objectives.
Irene Chang was a former State Assemblyperson of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly and through her tenure as an elected representative, has gained experience in drafting legislation and bills. She is also a legal advisor to a few associations and non-governmental organisations.
